| Above is a wall that has been badly damaged by termites. Everything in this wall is damaged. Bottom sill plate, wall studs, header over window, top plate and even the second floor floor joist. Next picture shows that second floor joist better. |

| Above is a close up of the damaged floor joist with the wall beneath it partially removed. The spacers will be removed and a doubled joist will be added between these damaged ones. |

| Here you can see the completed repair. Summary of what was done. Wall on one side of window and header over window was completely removed leaving the other side in so to leave a little support. Double joist was the partially repaired and the wall rebuilt under that portion. Then the other side was cut and replaced in the same way. Installed header, put spacers above the header to support the top plate and anchored the sill plate to the concrete footing. |
